“Our dream is to create an environment where every tamaiti can flourish and develop a profound love for learning.”
As a young family with a shared passion for early childhood education, we are thrilled to introduce ourselves as the proud owners of Little Parrots, a brand-new early childhood education centre in Mt Maunganui.
Driven by our own experiences as parents, we recognize the immense need for quality early childhood education in Tauranga. Our dream is to create an environment where every tamaiti can flourish and develop a profound love for learning for life. As hands-on owners who are emotionally invested in the centre, we believe that our principles must align seamlessly with Little Parrots’ philosophy.
For us, the cornerstone of our ownership is simple yet powerful: if the tamariki always come first, and the kaiako who care for them are truly valued, everything else will naturally fall into place. This guiding principle ensures that every decision, every initiative, and every aspect of Little Parrots aligns seamlessly with the centre’s philosophy of whanaungatanga and holistic development.
With a background in Early Childhood Education and expertise in legislation and compliance, Dolly’s passion lies in providing a nurturing environment for all tamariki, with a special focus on working with neurodiverse children. His commitment to quality education drives the foundation of Little Parrots’ philosophy.
Jess brings a wealth of experience to Little Parrots as a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in Health Science, specialising in mental health. Her extensive background in looking after the wellbeing of tamariki and whānau reflects a commitment to holistic care. Jess has not only worked with tamariki directly but has also contributed significantly to the public health sector. Her passion for mental health aligns perfectly with creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the Little Parrots whānau.
We recommend you pop in and visit our centre, have a cuppa, and get a feel for who we are and what we do. You’re welcome to bring your tamariki and any siblings when you come and visit.
