We’re lucky to have an amazingly large, open, light and bright space! This space is like no other daycare in Mount Maunganui. Because it’s bright and spacious, tamariki have freedom to explore both inside and out and they are always seen.
We have thoughtfully created a feeling of home throughout so that tamariki and whānau, feel comfortable and right at home from the very beginning. We have two different areas, depending on your child’s stage and development, that enable them to interact with other tamariki who are of a similar stage in a safe environment.
We are also big believers in tuakana-teina where the older children help and guide the younger children, so all areas regularly interact with each other.
The kōwhai area in our centre is a calm and inviting environment, where relationships are at the heart of our practices. Through primary care, tamariki form close and trusting relationships based on love, acceptance, and kindness. We have a dedicated air conditioned/heated sleeping room where we can ensure your tamariki get the rest they need to do more of what they do best – learn and grow!
Our preschool area is an environment that provides for unique interests, strengths, and needs of all tamariki. Here kids learn as they imagine, invent, experiment, ask questions, and make sense of the world around them. All learners experience a well-equipped environment with a variety of resources, a number of inviting areas, and uninterrupted creative play.
We recommend you pop in and visit our centre, have a cuppa, and get a feel for who we are and what we do. You’re welcome to bring your tamariki and any siblings when you come and visit.
